Site Investigations
Soil Testing remains the anchor business and has always allowed first contact with clients. The full range of soil testing is offered by the company and includes site investigations for housing, commercial, industrial, bridges, multi-storey etc. The company runs its own fleet of drilling rigs which carry out all soil testing. All soil testing is carried out under the banner of MacGregor Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd.

Structural Design
The structural design section has steadily grown, especially over the last six years and is now generally on par with the soil testing business. The section carries out structural design of steel and concrete structures, housing, foundation design and retaining wall design. Due to the strong tie with the geotechnical side of the company, a significant effort is employed in pile and unique foundation design. The capabilities of this section range from basic housing through to multi-storey apartment projects.

Compaction Testing & Earthworks Supervision
Enrik Corporation Pty Ltd operates a NATA approved laboratory in conjunction with Swinburne University and carries out laboratory Compaction Tests, CBRs, Gradings, PIs, etc. Earthworks supervision to Level 1 standards is now becoming an industry standard and as such is an ever growing facet of the business.

With higher density housing projects continuing, the requirement for specialist drainage designs to help current infrastructure cope with increased demands is becoming greater. Environmental & Contamination Testing
The environmental testing arm of the business is seen as the greatest growth potential area. With our initial contact of soil testing services, we are well placed to offer contamination testing. MacGregors has carried out over 100 contamination site assessment reports since 1995.

Remedial Testing & Design
An area of particular interest to the former director of MacGregor Soil, Andrew MacGregor, has been remedial engineering. We have expertise in investigating causes of damage to buildings and then recommending and designing remedial works, including underpinning, re-blocking, mud-jacking, grout injection techniques, structural rectification, etc. This area of interest now forms a section of our company and extends to building and pavement damage and materials testing.
